, is a skeletal muscle relaxant. π«πππππππππ is administered orally and is very effective. It’s used as a preventative and treatment for horses experiencing α΄xα΄Κα΄Ιͺα΄Ι΄α΄Κ ΚΚα΄Κα΄ α΄α΄Κα΄ΚΚsΙͺs - commonly referred to as
“πππππ ππ”.
The dosage is 2-4 mg/kg by mouth once daily. In cases of an active tie up, we administer 12-18ml’s, depending on the horses size. We will then maintain on 6-10ml’s twice daily for a minimum of 3 days as preventive while reintroducing exercise, depending on severity and your vet’s recommendations.
When using as a preventative, we administer 6ml’s by mouth twice daily.
It’s just a good medication to have in your drug box in the case of a tie up!
